He was program manager of The Association of NGOs in the Gambia (TANGO). He has also conducted human rights training for security officers, policy and lawmakers and traditional authorities in his country including working with communities. Madi has been involved in elections observations both in the Gambia and abroad. He is a strong advocate for freedom of expression and has provided training to journalists on human rights and media. His involvement in an array of development issues indicates his passion and commitment to the empowerment of citizens to be the architects of their own destiny. Madi is currently the Country Representative of the Westminister Foundation for Democracy, a new British outfit seeking to support and strengthen democracy in The Gambia.
